chance for new people to experience the fellowship, take in top-notch triathlon sessions, and
train right along side elite and pro athletes! 2006 Camp

Alisa Keeton
In 2005 she began competing in various endurance events. Completing her first ½ Iroman at SOMA in 2006. “I firmly believed that God carried me down the path of triathlon training so that I would learn the importance of His strength in me”. It was during her many hours on the road or in the pool that she learned the importance of flexibility training. “For years I had enjoyed the benefits of yoga classes, but never cared for the spiritual side that came with most classes and/or teachers. Once you know the truth of who God is, you don’t want to settle for anything less or compromise that truth in anyway.” She knew that the yoga kept her putting in the miles, but she craved for something to fill the gap. In 2006 she looked into a new trend that was and is Christ centered yoga. After becoming certified as a Holy Yoga instructor (www.holyyoga.net) she has gone on to teach weekly classes at Living Streams (www.livingstreams.org) in Phoenix, Arizona. “ I love it! I feel like God has given me this great big beautiful gift! I get to teach others the importance of living well and how much that matters to God, through the word of God, and bonus, we get a workout at the same time! We really do meet God on that Yoga mat each and every time.” Alisa has gone on to develop her own business that is known as AKAFitness.(www.akafitness.com) and is currently developing a faith based weight loss ministry, titled Weigh Less to Feed More, that teaches people how to live healthy and whole lives while serving others who suffer from physical and spiritual poverty around the world. |
